Pi is an infinite decimal and an irrational number.

Pi Day is a holiday that is celebrated on March 14th every year. This day was created to celebrate the mathematical constant π. It falls on 3/14 since three, one, and four are the first three digits of PI. It is a holiday that has been celebrated large-scale since 1988.

This year Pi Day also coincides with the move to Daylight Savings Time. Because of the time manipulation, it obviously seems as if we have a longer day due to the sunset occurring at a later time. One could, therefore, ask, “Does anybody really know what time it is?”

Remember those lyrics?

So on this Pi Day I leave you with these words:

Like Pi, I am irrational, probably not infinite, but definitely love pie.

There once was a retired guy,

Whose sense of time went awry.

He looked for a watch,

Stumbled a notch,

But recovered by reciting Pi.

P.S. Thanks Rett for all your delicious pies.
