Morgan was Simon’s companion and our first “granddog”. A Jack Russell terrier, she was a loving rascal. I remember receiving a phone call from Simon informing me that he was considering purchasing a puppy, and at that time in Simon’s life, I tried to discourage him from doing so. As the conversation ended, I was convinced that I had persuaded him to refrain, but very shortly, thereafter, Simon brought Morgan home to introduce her to us. Morgan welcomed us with a frisky romp and I knew that Simon was in for an experience with a worthy companion. Morgan was with Simon and his burgeoning family for nearly fourteen years.

Simon, no doubt, had innumerable moments of joy, toil, and trouble from Morgan, but as a granddad, I have great memories of running, digging, cuddling, snarling, jumping, and licking.

Saying goodbye to a true companion is very difficult, but the memories of joys will last a lifetime.

Saying Goodbye to My "Good Boy"

by Tamsen Butler

You were always thrilled to see me No matter what my mood. Your needs, to put it simply, Were love, affection, and food.

And in return you gave me joy My heart filled with your love You were the "goodest of the boys" And now you're good above.
