2025 will be remembered by the Woliver Clan as the year our matriarch Dorsey Lou Woliver passed from this life, and the year the newest Woliver arrived to continue our lineage.

Say hello to Hallie Brooke Woliver Davis, born on July 29, 2025 at 4:58am, a healthy 6 lbs, 2 oz, 19 inches baby girl.

We welcome Hallie with open arms.  May she live like her Great Grandmother Dorsey a long, healthy, and productive life.

Our cell's DNA molecule is made up of two strands, connected by rungs to form the celebrated twisted ladder known as a double helix.  It has one single-minded purpose-to keep the line of our existence going. For us to be here now, every one of our ancestors had to successfully pass on its genetic material to a new generation.

I wanted my dear Mother to continue to live without growing old so that I could hear her voice say, “I love you” with the same comfort that those words portrayed when she whispered them in my ear as a child at bedtime just as I closed my eyes and moved into sleep.  But now at seventy-two, I realize that her passing into the good night allows space for Hallie Brooke to occupy this life and to participate in the Woliver lineage giving it new energy and continuous possibilities.

We also celebrate the 80th birthday this week of the now oldest living matriarch of the Woliver Clan, Happy Birthday, Sharon Lee Woliver, born on August 22, 1945.

“Families are like branches on a tree.  We grow in different directions yet our roots remain as one.”

Our family has strong roots. May the Woliver tree continue to bear strong branches.
