Today at Merry Mount our celebration is two fold: Thanksgiving (my favorite holiday) and our daughter Caroline’s 34th birthday. It is a special time for us to reflect and to give thanks for the day/date that Caroline was born-11/23/1989-which also coincided with Thanksgiving.

Memories abound. I have often said that two of the greatest days of my life were the days I witnessed the birth of our two children: Simon and Caroline. How can my “Caroliney” be 34? How time flies when one is having fun! She is the blessing that keeps on giving.

Let's celebrate Caroline.

Once again, Rett and I have the pleasure of hosting our immediate family for Thanksgiving dinner. At the center of our traditional Thanksgiving festivities is Rett’s meal that includes turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, Brussels sprouts, cranberry sauce, deviled eggs, and an assortment of pies. But the must have is Rett’s cornbread dressing.

Thanksgiving 2022 was unusually warm which allowed us to eat "al fresco".

May all who read my blog today have a Happy Thanksgiving!
